The Cultural Foundation of Samos “Nickolaos Dimitriou” had always had as o­ne of its primary and fundamental goals to establish a folkloric museum. This goal was met and from May, 1997 o­nwards the museum has been to the public.

The Folkloric Museum of Samos was established in order to give a complete picture of what everyday life o­n the island was like until World War II.

It is located in the complex of “Doryssa Bay Hotel” in Pythagorion.
